KIDS COUNT DATA CENTER

Data across states

  • Useful when looking to compare Illinois data with national-level data or with other states

  • Indicators for state-by-state comparisons are organized by indicator category.

  • Clicking on the desired indicator will take you to the indicator's data page where national and state-by-state data is displayed.
    • The indicator page will have three tabs at the top: 123 Ranking, Map, and Line Graph. The 123 rankings tab will show you the indicator's national data and data for each state and allows you to sort by year and data type; the U.S. map will show you data for each state (move your mouse over the map); the line graph will create a line graph that you can sort by region, year, and data type; and all three tabs show you a description, source, and footnotes for that particular indicator.
