CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH

When children struggle with social and emotional difficulties, every aspect of their lives can suffer. Yet only one out of five young people who need mental health supports ever receives it.

What Voices for Illinois Children is Doing

Voices helps lead the Illinois Children's Mental Health Partnership in building a strong, statewide system of prevention, early intervention and treatment.

What You Can Do

Contact your legislators and the Governor and encourage them to increase funding for children's social and emotional supports. Recent funding increases are insufficient to meet growing needs of children and their families.

You can also make a donation to Voices for Illinois Children and sign up for news updates.

Promote mental health, gather information, raise questions and educate others on this key component to overall health. Learn how to help at the Say it out loud campaign.
